Dec 2023: I was on 10 days Gujarat trip with my family. It was 8th day (31st Dec) and we were returning from SOU to Ahmedabad. Our plan was to celebrate new year in Ahmedabad but we got late while returning from SOU. When clock ticked for 12am, we were around 30 minutes drive away from our hotel. Everyone was tired and sleeping in taxi except me and our driver.
Our driver wished me and I did to him. Then, I called everyone, 'wake up, happy new year.' We all wished to each other and started observing what's going on streets.
There was no celebration on streets, no more than two people anywhere. All calm roads and no noise. Strange to see for a person who belong to Delhi. We reached our hotel in Ahmedabad at 12:30 am.
