How Multiple Times I Dived Into Tougher Situations To Know How Capable I Am

The Ineligible Millionaire: “Learning about a boy who was so under-confident, who didn’t know how to speak English properly but honed his skills and became a millionaire is surely an inspirational read. I think a large part of the audience will be able to relate to it, be it students, young professionals or mid-senior level professionals. There is a bit for everyone. And, what I really loved about this book is it doesn’t preach you anything as such in the direct narrative instead there are so many underlying messages which are enough to motivate you.” – BooksAmaze
Tohfaa Shaaadi Ka: “Such a poetic summary of their beautiful step towards their new life. How amazing it is when your loved one writes every beautiful moment in poetry and dedicates it to you. It was more like cherishing every moment of their beautiful life.” – Preethika P, Goodreads
The Ineligible Millionaire: “Arjun’s character is somebody that you grow fond of as a reader because Arjun is literally the humblest guy in the world, somebody who works really hard, somebody who is trying his best to deal with all the distress in his life. Still, life keeps throwing curve balls at him while he tries to dodge them. He keeps getting hit by them, but he doesn’t stop, and that makes his character extremely inspiring. This is the kind of book that gives out the message that good things are just around the corner and you just have to keep going.” – Saumya’s Bookstation

You'll never realize your capability until you push your limits either it's pushing for one extra rep in a gym or driving for 5 hours non-stop or speaking on stage for three hours or not sleeping in last 72 hours.

Yes, life is like that. We often fear to grab tougher situations, doubting our capabilities with various reasons.

Experience 1: I still remember those days when I was working on a project as an individual contributor. My manager asked me to take care of two other small projects. Each one of them had two team members who were supposed to report me. I said 'no' thinking, it'll be overhead for me, managing four members. But my manager convinced me somehow. Still, I was worried.

A week later, I started enjoying my role and successfully handling all three projects at a time. It was the first lesson for me.

Experience 2: In another experience, I had to submit my manuscript to the editor with the changes but I was hardly getting any time to work upon it. I decided to wake up 4AM every day to work upon it. I didn't know if I'd be able to do it because in the past I have tried it multiple times but never be successful because I'm not a very morning person. I was proved wrong this time and able to wake up 4AM every morning.

In result, I realized that if something is really important for me, I can wake up whenever I want.

Experience 3: A year ago, I drove my car for five hours non-stop. I was not sure if I could drive for even three hours non-stop but somehow I had no choice to stop on the way as time was the key factor. Generally, when a trip begins, we find one more person who can drive along with you on an alternate basis.

But when you're the only person to drive, all expectations are from you only.

Experience 4: Same happened during skydiving. I could never imagine myself jumping out of the plane from 13000 ft with a speed of 120mph. I was so excited and nervous at the same time. But when I jumped, it was the best moment I ever experienced in my life.

It seemed nothing to be scared of, it was all state of mind.

Experience 5: I was in the 12th standard UP board and had to finish my 11th standard syllabus as well as 12th in one year as I couldn't complete my 11th standard syllabus properly. I didn't know how will I achieve it but I knew I have to achieve it. During summer break, I used to have physics coaching at 5 AM morning then 7 AM Chemistry.

After that, I used to come home for a quick breakfast then run again on my bicycle for English from 9 AM then Mathematics from 11:30 AM then used to come back home. Study again till 4PM and then leave for 4:30 PM Mathematics class. I used to come back home by 6 PM and then study again till 12 night. It was my routine for 2-3 months.

As a result, I completed all 6 mathematics books for the board exam. I completed the Physics, Chemistry, and English syllabus of the 11th standard the way I wanted.

Judging ourselves without trying is like saying: 'tea is not good' without tasting. We never know our capabilities until we try. If we keep fearing just because of the visuals or experiences of someone else then we miss knowing the strong part in ourselves.
