The Ineligible Millionaire: “Arjun’s character is somebody that you grow fond of as a reader because Arjun is literally the humblest guy in the world, somebody who works really hard, somebody who is trying his best to deal with all the distress in his life. Still, life keeps throwing curve balls at him while he tries to dodge them. He keeps getting hit by them, but he doesn’t stop, and that makes his character extremely inspiring. This is the kind of book that gives out the message that good things are just around the corner and you just have to keep going.” – Saumya’s Bookstation

A stranger gave me his biking gears in Ladakh.

July 2021: It was our day 3 in Ladakh and we were at our hotel gate in Leh with other bikers, waiting our bike to be arrived to start the trip. As I mentioned in other article that we got our bike arranged at very last moment as our initial booking for Ladakh trip was by traveller and later we requested for bike. We were happily waiting for our bike with other bikers but after discussion with others we realised that everyone has come up there with bike riding gears e.g. riding knee guard and elbow guard. A few had jackets as well.

We got worried as we had to ride in Ladakh under various unfavorable conditions. I checked with my guide/captain as well as local coordinator but they had no availability with them. I went to hotel reception area, seeing if hotel staff can arrange it locally on rent or purchase. Beyond my expectation, I met hotel owner there and I came to know that he is biker since ages.

When I told him our condition, he agreed to help and took out his biking gears: knee guards, elbow guards, helmet and gave to me under only one condition that I'll return to him once I'll be back from trip without breaking any of them. I was so happy, what else is required when you find such people. He wished us good luck and safe ride.

Our guide arranged one helmet for my wife and we were good to go.
